Mental and Emotional Key Strategies to Wellness

Mental and emotional wellness is a very broad topic. What I’m here to address, suggest, inspire and bring to light is a fresh perspective on mental and emotional health.

Just as we go through life stages, growth and development physically, we as humans are designed to go through growth and development mentally and emotionally. In order to grow mentally we need mental stimulation, or intellectual stimulation. Not in the form of following a path or rules set forth by others, rather by exploring beliefs, ideas and concepts where we are strengthening and formulating our own beliefs and ideas and, applying them in our own lives. What this does is shift our mindset from a very fixed belief or idea and expands into a new area. This provides one with the capability to think for themselves.

Emotional wellness requires you to release, remove, relinquish the pain causes by the disruptive emotion. Emotions are energy in motion. With an unstable, disruptive emotion resulting from being triggered you continue to repeat the pattern of unhealthy emotional reaction.

The two issues with Mental and Emotional Wellness I am pointing our are repeating patterns without finding a solution or strategy to move beyond the fixed point.

Here are 4 Key Strategies to Mental and Emotional Wellness:

  1. Be willing to observe your experiences from the places and environments you are in to the belief systems of these environments. When you are in an environment that stifles your ideas, creativity, your ability to define success and happiness on your own terms to feel safe in your own identity, your mental and emotional health will need to settle. In this kind of environment you will be triggered and run in a cycle. As you settle, gain your bearings, look around, find a new environment. Trust your inner compass, stretch your mindset, your beliefs and trust the feelings of belonging and happiness you desire. Then act.
  2. Honor your emotions and feelings. You have the power and the ability to listen, feel and trust your emotions and feelings. In situations that challenge your beliefs and ideas, that make you wrong, bad, devalue you, and/or cut your own feelings of joy and belonging it becomes personal power to honor and own your own true feelings. Stand strong, stand tall, stand proud, let your own emotions flow and move through you.
  3. Apply the wisdom of the season. This winter as we come to a close of the year, of a cycle, you are given the dark of longer nights to turn in and let go, to shed old programming, old patterns or habits that no longer will move you forward in the new year. The dark is a great place to release, to let go, turn in and comfort yourself, bringing your feelings and emotions to the surface, free them making space for the new. The new may yet to be determined. You’ll gather your own new from mental stimulation with freedom of thoughts, feelings, ideas, beliefs and joy. The next cycle, chapter and growth.
  4. Trust in the process of growth organically and intuitively. Human beings are designed to grow, contribute, build and connect. When you allow and give yourself time and space to clear, heal, transmute, release and flow your emotions and your mindset, you open to and connect to your Divinity. In this process you restore your connection to your source, you believe in your message and mission. Your flow for Divine Timing, Manifestation and Alignment all take root in your being. This is Mental and Emotional Wellness. You’re open receptive, allowing, and sending out signals that match you from the place of your emotions flowing freely with connection to your own Being.

This is the season to Tune in, to Turn in and to Trust. Here, during the shift to longer nights you are supported in shaking off the old. All the ways your beliefs, mindset, current connections/groups are fixed, limited in expansion and growth and all the ways your emotions have been stuck, stifled, disrupted, diffused or extinguished. This is the season to allow the freedom of your mind and of your heart. To trust in your own unique path, settle in and give yourself time and space to move mentally and emotionally and watch how your world transforms. It’s here your physical world connects to your path; to the people, environments, culture, experiences and opportunities you have been seeking.

Your Well Being is more powerful and influential than you give credit for. Well being shows up as confidence, not arrogance, clarity, not chaos or disruption, resilience and fortitude as opposed to emotional uncertainty.

It’s proven what you choose to invest your time energy and money in builds and increases.  Just because you pay for a gym membership doesn’t mean you’re improving the quality of your life.  It’s business. There must be consistent actions, and a system and structure for growth. Results don’t happen from the mindless.  Results happens when in a plan, strategy with focus and discipline. Am I speaking a different language, or as an entrepreneur /Founder you understand the level of discipline and investment your well being requires.

Well being is crucial to success.  You’ve got to be able to move with the tides, the ebbs and flows.  You must be willing to pause before reacting, tune in turn in to uncover your next action step.  Reaction sets off a domino effect like firecrackers, one by one while disrupting your aim, your target.

The gym, your workout, your mental and emotional health

These non- negotiable’s are the foundation of your bottom line.  Growth, increase in revenue takes an ever present practice of intellectual stimulation, innovation and creativity as well as critical thinking and problem solving. Finding activities which consistently challenge your abilities and stimulate your thoughts, actions, feelings, habits and patterns, which translates and integrates into your professional life. 

What’s that worth to you? Why would you separate it?

Why wouldn’t you leverage your ability to show up at the gym to focus your mental energy into action and your emotions into desired outcome?  Sure it’s physical in nature and you see it in sports all the time. The amount of mental and emotional energy invested for success is no different than a CEO, Founder, or entrepreneur.  Business, money, health, it’s all connected. They’re 2 parts to the whole. Together business and health, physical mental and emotional well being will pave a path for you to stay centered grounded focused and moving forward.

You see, as you decide and understand qualites you value, aspects of living, that hold meaning to you, it is up to you to align with the right people and communities. Sounds simple. The maze or confusion people get caught in is past programming and patterns plus, to embrace feel and see the new opportunity, which is what they want.

True power of community does not come from need. Our ancestors needed community in order to survive, for basic needs- food clothing shelter safety. As we have evolved, technology expanded our living situations, opportunity has been given to move beyond the fears and limitations based on survival.

This message is an invitation.

Where are you in community that does not nourish your spirit? Where are you wanting growth, new experience and not encountering it from community?

These are opportunities for you. These same opportunities those who like the idea of safety, stuck in story or depended on others are unwilling to step forward into.

I, love growth, change and building something that holds meaning to me.

How about you?

As you process and flow through this idea, understand where you are and where your values are. Maybe your life has increased and it’s time to look at areas you had not been exposed to before.

This is growth as well as building a new foundation in an area of your life you had not given attention to before.

Community in its truest form, where there is no fear, is designed to support, nourish, nurture, develop each generation to pass forward and add to. This means build. It means support. Wouldn’t you love more positive encouraging support in adding more to your life? Not from force, or needing to fit in, rather from a grounded perspective of normal satisfying, practical living.

These are the true roots of community.

One specific I find in this organic model of community is a level of acceptance. No one is being judged, criticized or looked down upon for who you are. This model is inviting, understanding, empathetic, compassionate and wholehearted in people growing to their potential.

People growing to their potential means: there is enough for everyone, no one is special. Flow moves. It offers those who know they have gifts generosity and skills to contribute, can give and their giving is not based on money time and energy. This level of giving comes from the heart and mind to support and connect people.

Encouraging a new form of community takes looking at where you’re settling, accepting or just don’t feel expansive “energetically aligned”.

It’s a practice and gives you permission to be right, to decide what you want and make the changes necessary to find it.

Now, go out. Take the actions. Find the communities which will support and bring you the growth you desire.
